5-Minute No-Knead Superfood Bread
Description: This 5-minute NO-KNEAD superfood bread will change how you eat forever. This is an original no-knead bread recipe levelled up with ginger, chilli & turmeric for extra flavour + benefits. It takes 5 minutes to prep, bakes in 30-40 minutes, and is 100% unprocessed.
Ingredients
- 525g strong bread flour
- 7g quick-acting yeast
- 15g olive oil (1 tbsp)
- 395ml warm water
- 4 cups flour
- 1½ tsp instant yeast
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1¾ cups warm water
- 12g fine salt + 50ml warm water
- 1 tsp turmeric
- Thumb-size fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp fresh red chilli, diced
Instructions
- Add flour, yeast, olive oil and 395ml warm water to a bowl. Mix with a spoon until combined. Cover and leave in a warm place for 30 minutes.
- Dissolve 12g salt in 50ml warm water. Add turmeric, ginger and chilli to the dough and mix well (hands help here).
- Cover again and leave to rise in a warm place for 2–4 hours.
- Transfer to a lined loaf tin or high-sided tray (max 30 × 20cm). Dough will be loose — that’s perfect. Lightly dust with flour. For best results, bake in a Dutch oven.
- Bake at 220°C fan for 30–40 minutes, until golden and hollow-sounding underneath. Cool on a wire rack before slicing.
