Chocolate Logcake with Bulla Dairy

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Mix yolk, milk & oil
  2. Add sifted flour & cocoa powder
  3. Mix into batter
  4. Whip whites with lemon juice & sugar till stiff peaks
  5. Fold meringue into cocoa batter
  6. Pour batter into baking tray & bake at 180C for 17-18 mins
  7. Remove cake from tray, roll up the cake & let it cool for about 30 mins
  8. Unroll the cake, spread 300-400 ml Bulla double cream onto cake. Roll up & chill for 1-2hrs.
  9. Add dark chocolate, unsalted butter, vanilla & salt to bowl.
  10. Add Bulla thickened cream to pot, bring to simmer
  11. Pour hot cream into chocolate. Let mixture sit for 5 mins, stir till mixture thickens. Chill for 1hr.
  12. Remove roll cake, slice 1/4 of cake diagonally and arrange into log
  13. Pipe chocolate ganache onto log cake. Use fork to make tree bark pattern. Sprinkle icing sugar
