Crispy Air Fryer Pork Belly
Description: Crispy pork belly air fried to perfection with a crackling skin.
Ingredients
- Pork belly
- Salt
- Pepper
- Vinegar
- Oil
Instructions
- Poke holes in the skin of the pork belly with a meat tenderizer.
- Season the skin generously with salt and pepper.
- Wrap the pork belly in foil, ensuring the skin is exposed.
- Place the pork belly in a dish and refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat air fryer to 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Place the pork belly in the air fryer basket.
- Drizzle with a little oil.
- Air fry for 20 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius.
- Remove from air fryer and place on a baking tray.
- Brush the skin with vinegar.
- Sprinkle generously with coarse sea salt, ensuring the skin is covered.
- Return to the air fryer and cook at 190 degrees Celsius for another 20 minutes, or until the skin is crackled and golden brown.
- Remove from air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Remove the excess salt from the skin.
- Slice and serve.
