Easy Churros Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Cinnamon sugar (for coating)
- 1/2 cup dulce de leche
- 1/4 cup chocolate sauce
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Heat about 1-2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat to 350°F (175°C).
- Pour the batter into a piping bag fitted with a large star tip.
- Carefully pipe strips of dough, about 6 inches long, into the hot oil. You may need to cut the dough with scissors to release it.
- Fry the churros for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove churros from the oil with a slotted spoon and drain on a wire rack lined with paper towels.
- Immediately toss the hot churros in cinnamon sugar.
- Serve warm with dulce de leche and chocolate sauce for dipping.
