  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Heat about 1-2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Pour the batter into a piping bag fitted with a large star tip.
  6. Carefully pipe strips of dough, about 6 inches long, into the hot oil. You may need to cut the dough with scissors to release it.
  7. Fry the churros for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Remove churros from the oil with a slotted spoon and drain on a wire rack lined with paper towels.
  9. Immediately toss the hot churros in cinnamon sugar.
  10. Serve warm with dulce de leche and chocolate sauce for dipping.
