Egg Envelope with Cheese
Description: A simple and satisfying dish made from just two main ingredients - eggs and cheese. Egg envelopes with cheese are prepared very quickly and are not at all difficult. Just 5 minutes - and a delicious breakfast is ready!
Ingredients
- Eggs - 2 pcs.
- Hard cheese - 50 g (1-2 slices)
- Salt - to taste
- Vegetable oil (for frying) - 1 tbsp. l.
- Fresh parsley - 1-2 sprigs
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients according to the list.
- Break the eggs into a bowl. Salt to taste (cheese contains salt, so salt carefully).
- Whisk with a fork until smooth.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan (20 cm diameter) over medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture and spread it over the bottom, tilting the pan carefully to the sides to form a thin pancake. Fry over medium heat for about 1-2 minutes, until the edges of the pancake set, and the center remains liquid.
- Place the cheese slices in the center of the egg pancake and cook for about another 1 minute.
- As soon as the cheese begins to melt, carefully fold the edges of the pancake, forming an envelope. To do this, first fold and cover the filling with two opposite edges of the pancake.
- Then fold in the other two free edges. Press the resulting envelope slightly with a spatula for a few seconds to secure the edges of the pancake with the filling in this position.
- Then carefully flip the egg envelope with the filling seam-side down and fry for about 20-30 seconds.
- The browned egg envelope with cheese filling is ready. Transfer the dish to a plate.
