  2. Grease a babovka mold thoroughly with butter, ensuring all crevices and the central part are covered, then dust with flour.
  3. In a bowl, whisk eggs, sugar, and vanilla until thick and fluffy (about 5-7 minutes). A stand mixer can be used.
  4. Gradually pour in the advocaat and oil in a thin stream while continuing to whisk gently.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and starch. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients (do not overmix, to prevent the batter from collapsing).
  6. Pour the finished batter into the prepared mold.
  7. Bake for approximately 55 minutes. To check for doneness, insert a skewer into the babovka; if it comes out clean, it's ready. If it has batter, continue baking.
  8. Let the babovka cool in the mold for a while, then carefully invert it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Before serving, dust the babovka with powdered sugar.
