Homemade Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes

Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups (315 g) all-purpose flour
- 2 ½ tsp (11 g) baking powder
- ½ tsp (2 g) kosher salt
- ¾ cup (164 g) unsalted butter, room temp
- 1 ¾ cups (339 g) granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs, room temp
- 1 Tbsp (12 g) pure vanilla extract
- ½ tsp (3 g) almond extract
- 1 cup (246 g) whole milk, room temp
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two ½ sheet pans (or jelly roll pans) with parchment and lightly grease.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
- In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar 2–3 minutes until pale and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time. Mix in vanilla and almond extract.
- Alternating, add the dry ingredients and milk, beginning and ending with dry. Mix just until smooth (don’t overmix).
- Divide batter between pans, spread into an even ½-inch layer.
- Bake 10–15 minutes, or until set and a toothpick comes out clean.
