Kosher Fried Chicken Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 3 cups vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
- In a shallow dish, whisk together flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- In another shallow dish, whisk together eggs and milk.
- Dredge each chicken piece in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
- Dip the floured chicken piece into the egg mixture, letting excess drip off.
- Dredge the chicken piece again in the flour mixture.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully place chicken pieces in the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
- Fry for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
- Remove chicken from the skillet and place on a wire rack to drain.
- Serve hot.
