Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the minced beef, grated onion, minced garlic, crumbled feta cheese, allspice, cumin, cinnamon, black pepper, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  2. Shape the mixture into long, cylindrical kofta skewers. Aim for a size that fits well inside the pita bread.
  3. Heat a skillet with a tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat.
  4. Carefully place the kofta skewers into the hot skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked through.
  5. While the kofta is cooking, prepare the yogurt dip. In a small bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, olive oil, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Stir well.
  6. Warm the pita breads slightly. You can do this by toasting them briefly in a dry pan or in the oven.
  7. Once the kofta is cooked, remove it from the skillet.
  8. To serve, cut the pita breads in half. Stuff each pita half with a kofta skewer.
  9. Serve immediately with the yogurt dip on the side.
  10. Enjoy!
