Mac n Cheese with Hot Honey Tenders

  1. Boil your pasta and grate your cheeses. On a pan add 2tbsp of butter and 3tbsp of flour. Stir vigorously to avoid all the clumps.
  2. Add your spices: 1tsp salt, 1Tbsp black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cajun seasoning and a chicken stock cube. Stir and let the spices roast on low for 5 mins.
  3. Add 300ml of double cream, add it little by little, stirring it every time you add it. Add 3 cups of milk little by little afterwards and stir more. Add 2 handfuls of your grated cheese and let it melt in. Add your pasta in to the thick, cheesy sauce now. ***if your sauce is clumpy, then pour into a blender and blend it to salvage it***
  4. Add the pasta to an oven-safe dish as the first layer, top with lots of cheese and then layer with the remaining pasta and cheese at the top. Bake it in the oven for 20 mins on 250*.
  5. For the hot honey tenders: Wet batter: Add some milk, hot sauce and 2tsp of salt, 3tsp black pepper, paprika, cajun, thyme, garlic and onion powder.
  6. Dry batter: Add flour to a bowl and the same seasonings and measurements for the wet batter except the hot sauce. Double dip on each one and deep fry.
  7. Simmer some honey and hot sauce together on the stove and drizzle over your crispy tenders now.
