Instructions

  1. Wash then either steam (1-2 min) or microwave (2 min) the cabbage leaves until they are soft.
  2. Mix the ground pork (or chicken, or tofu, whatever you are using) with the Mirin wine, salt, shallot, garlic, and ginger.
  3. Place about one tablespoon of the mixture on the leaf and roll up to the stem.
  4. Wrap with chives or scallions. If you are using scallions, I recommend also steaming or microwaving them so they soften.
  5. Steam the rolls until the inside is cooked through, about 10-12 minutes on medium-high heat.
  6. Serve with rice or on anything else you want
