Ingredients
- Toor dal (ತೊಗರಿಬೇಳೆ) - 1/2 Cup
- Split green gram (ಬೆಳೆದ ಹೆಸರು ಕಾಳು) - 3 tbsp
- Water - 2 cups
- Green chillies (ಹಸಿ ಮೆಣಸಿನಕಾಯಿ) - 2
- Turmeric powder (ಅರಿಶಿನ ಪುಡಿ) - 1 tsp
- Oil (ಎಣ್ಣೆ) - 1 tbsp
Instructions
- Add toor dal and split green gram to a pressure cooker.
- Add 2 cups of water, green chillies, turmeric powder, and oil.
- Close the lid and wait for 2 whistles.
- Once cooked, add cumin seeds (1 tsp), asafoetida (1/2 tsp), curry leaves, chopped garlic, chopped red chillies, chopped onion, chopped tomato, salt, turmeric powder, and chili powder to a pan with oil.
- Saute for a minute.
- Add fenugreek leaves and saute for a minute.
- Add the cooked dal and mix well.
- Cook for 10 minutes.
