  1. Add toor dal and split green gram to a pressure cooker.
  2. Add 2 cups of water, green chillies, turmeric powder, and oil.
  3. Close the lid and wait for 2 whistles.
  4. Once cooked, add cumin seeds (1 tsp), asafoetida (1/2 tsp), curry leaves, chopped garlic, chopped red chillies, chopped onion, chopped tomato, salt, turmeric powder, and chili powder to a pan with oil.
  5. Saute for a minute.
  6. Add fenugreek leaves and saute for a minute.
  7. Add the cooked dal and mix well.
  8. Cook for 10 minutes.
